Legion of Chaos EQ2 Forums

Thank you for your interest in LoC. Our guild name is LoC Freeport but we accept members from both cities.. You are welcome to apply, regardless of your character's faction in game. For example, being a "good" character in Qeynos will not exclude you from joining. The only negative effects you should see will be the guards of the opposing city escorting you outside of their walls if you're not a citizen.

The following is a list of information you will need if you are considering submitting an application to Loc on the Befallen server. Please speak with an officer for recruitment.

History
Legion of Chaos is a multi-game clan that has been around since 1997. We are a community of gamers that enjoy a fun gaming environment with mature players and our members have branched out to numerous new and exciting games together, such as Everquest II. If you're fortunate enough to join an LoC guild, you will see this community continue to grow and expand. With your help, WCTP can be a wonderful place to call home for all your online adventures.

Forums
Our forums are located on  WeComeToPlay.com. We Come To Play is the community that hosts LoC in every game we play and is also host to players of other games. Click here to take you directly to our EQ2 forums.

Please register for an account and speak to an officer or leader to request access to your guild forums. We encourage you to read the forums daily. Input is also encouraged and will help our members get to know you.

TeamSpeak
Team Speak is a voiceover IP program that allows you to verbally communicate with other users while in game. TeamSpeak is not mandatory but is highly encouraged. Join the Freeport channel on Fridays to see why! Instructions are located at www.WeComeToPlay.com/teamspeak.

We also reccomend that you download TeamSpeak Overlay, an application designed to be used with TeamSpeak, that allows players to "see" who is speaking when you're in game

Guild rules
We have a simple rule concerning treatment of other guildies. Treat everyone with respect. If you flame a member on our forums or in /gu, you will be removed from the guild. While we encourage open debate, we will not tolerate personal attacks on any member.

If you see someone in Loc Freeport take a moment and give them a quick /wave or /salute.

Crafting
We have a lot crafters and we help each other out with not only the crafting itself, but also sharing harvestables and things.

Nastras is the crafting officer.

Guild Raids
Buliwyf is in charge of organizing guild raids.

Raid policy
These rules are for any raid that LOC hosts. Our raid calendar is located at http://www.wecometoplay.com/eq2/WebCalendar/

Raiding Procedures
The raid leader will decide what can be randomed on at the end of raid in case there are multiple upgrades for one class. If an item will upgrade our Main Tank, Skrodo, he will get the item.

Who can attend?
46 plus for healers, chanters and bards. 48+ for everyone else.

The raid officer will first make a post 2 days in advance of a raid and get volunteers for the raid. He'll post it on the calendar with details. One day before the raid he will then contact our allies and fill in the open spots and also post a list of those who will attend and add that list to the calendar as well.

In order to be elegible for loot on raids, you must show up on time. If you do not show up on time, but still attend, you will still get some credit for DKP. Raid officers will determine who will attend the raid based upon the goal of having a successful raid.

These rules go in to effect until we have full LoC groups and start using our DKP system.

The leader of the raid will change the loot option so that no one other than raid leader can loot. After the items are looted, the raid leader will link the items and see if they are an upgrade for anyone. If they are an upgrade for someone, that person gets the item. If two people need the same item, the main raid tanks and healers get first dibs. If it is not an upgrade than everyone eligible will /rand 100 and the highest roll wins. If you receive a raid item you need for and upgrade, you will be required to attune it as soon as you receive it. Repeat for all items save 1 rare (3 per week) that will be saved for the three highest guild point contributers for the week. (on hold for now)

Dragon Kill Point system
We are in the process of working out the full details for DKP Kyfa is in charge of our DKP system.

  • Repairs- If for some reason you do not have enough coin to repair for a raid, it is your responsiblity to inform the raid leaders of this and they will get you repair money.
  • Start times- The times posted are the times we are to START the raid, not the time to start thinking about heading out to the raid. So if it's posted at 9pm EST, you need to be ready to zone in to the raid at 9pm EST. Not 9:05 or later. We will be taking attendance at the start time and awarding raid credit then. (I think we may eventually start handing DKP for Start time, Middle, and completion but we'll have to work the details out with Maldian.) If you want DKP, you must be there at the start time. If you want a shot at /rand 100, you must be there at the START time of the raid. If you're late and somehow get in the raid, you will not get dkp credit or be eligable for /rand 100.
  • 46+ We decided to lower the requirements of our raids to 46 + for Guild members only in hopes of filling our raids with guild members only.
  • Attuning upgrade items on the spot. If you receive a raid item you need for and upgrade, you will be required to attune it as soon as you receive it.
